Travel Instructions to the SLS Office

 

We’re looking forward to hosting you at the Center for Serve-Learn-Sustain. We are located on the east side of the Georgia Tech campus in the Economic Development Center. Our office is on the 1st floor, Suite 118 (to the left as you enter the building, co-located with the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems). For mapping a driving route to the nearest parking option, you may enter the address for the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center.

Public Transportation

We encourage you to take public transportation. The MARTA train is particularly convenient. The Georgia Tech main campus can be accessed via the MARTA train stations at the Midtown/10th Street location and the North Avenue location. MARTA bus service also serves the Georgia Tech campus through bus route 12 (leaving from the Midtown Station), and bus routes 26 and 1 (leaving from the North Avenue Station). In addition, the Tech Stinger bus provides service between the Midtown Station and the Georgia Tech campus. Complete information on the Tech Trolley can be found here. Driving Directions to Campus

 

Driving South on I-75/85 into Atlanta

Take Exit 84 (17th Street/14th Street/10th Street). Go left at the fork and follow signs for 14th Street/10th Street.  Go left again at the next fork and follow the signs to 10th Street Eastbound. Turn left onto 10th Street, and then turn right onto Spring Street.  Follow Spring Street until you cross 5th Street.  The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center will be on your right.  Parking is available in the garage attached to the hotel.  760 Spring Street is the building immediately south of the hotel.

 

Driving North on I-75/85 into Atlanta

Take Exit 249D (North Avenue, Spring Street, West Peachtree Street). At the top of the exit ramp, proceed through the first intersection (Spring Street). At the next intersection (West Peachtree), turn left. Turn left onto Armistead Place.  Turn left onto Spring Street, NW.  The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center will be on your right.  Parking is available in the garage attached to the hotel.  760 Spring Street is the building immediately south of the hotel.

 

Parking

Visitor parking is available in the E81 parking deck at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. The GPS address for the Hotel Parking Deck is: 800 Spring Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30332.  Parking is charged by the hour - you take a ticket when you enter and pay when you leave campus.  SLS may be able to provide a parking voucher for this lot, but visitors should confirm with SLS staff AHEAD of your visit to campus.  Street parking is also available on 5th Street and on Spring Street through ParkMobile, but SLS cannot validate parking for these spots.

Instructions for walking to the SLS Offices from the garage:  walk through or around the parking deck towards the Spring Street entrance (ground floor level from the elevator).  Turn right on Spring Street.  The Economic Development Building (760 Spring Street) is immediately south of the hotel, the first building on your right. Enter through the main doors on the 1st floor and our office is located immediately to your left (Suite 118).  We are co-located with the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems.

 

Drop-off/Pick-Up Instructions

When traveling by cab or via Uber, visitors can be dropped off or picked up in front 760 Spring Street, or in the driveway of the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center.

 

Travel Options from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

If you are arriving in Atlanta via the airport, there are multiple options available to you for reaching our office. The MARTA train serves the airport and is an easy ride to the Georgia Tech campus. The airport MARTA station can be accessed through the baggage claim area and you may exit the train at either the Midtown/10th Street station or the North Avenue Station.  Please reference the Public Transportation information above for additional instructions.

Taxi cabs are also available at the airport outside the baggage claim area. Drivers should be instructed to take you to 760 Spring Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30332. If you are arriving in Atlanta via the airport, there are multiple options available to you for reaching the hotel. The hotel is located at 800 Spring Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30308. Peachtree Street exit).Turn right on West Peachtree and walk up to 5th Street.  Turn left and walk one block to Spring Street.  You will see the hotel at the corner of 5th and Spring Streets. Taxi cabs are also available at the airport outside the baggage claim area. As a final option, you may rent a car and drive to the hotel.

 

 

 


Directions to the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design

Directions to the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design can be found HERE. If you are driving to Kendeda, parking is available in the Dalney parking garage, behind Kendeda.  The Dalney parking deck is adjacent to the Dalney Street Research Administration Building (926 Dalney Street, NW) - please use this address when using GPS directions.  To walk to Kendeda from the parking garage, step out of the garage.  You will be in a space with a concrete staircase by Elevator 2, Area 12, facing a brick building (Baker Building).  Turn right on Dalney Street.  You will be facing a park area.  Walk straight ahead and cross a wooden bridge that leads to a concrete path on the park area (the Eco-Commons).  Follow that path uphill.  You will see the Kendeda Building on your left.  The paths merge into a large throughway.  Turn left and follow the throughway.  The side entrance to Kendeda will be straight ahead.  If that door is locked, turn right and go up the steps to the street (Ferst Drive).  The main entrance will be on your left.  For printable walking directions (with pictures), download THIS DOCUMENT.
