Most of Dr. Thomas' social innovation work has been focused on Eastern Europe and their transition from 1989 forward. He was engaged with universities as they developed outreach program to their communities and he has also worked with foundations and Non-Governmental Organizations in the region on issues of financial management and investment strategy. He continues to work with nonprofits in the US on governance, leadership and strategy.
