SLS Contacts:

Budget: $50,000

  • $20,000 from Serve-Learn-Sustain
  • $30,000 and in-kind support from Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business

Strategy Overview:

The Ray C. Anderson Center and the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (ILE) are already engaged with undergraduate and graduate education in the Scheller College of Business around the themes of sustainable business, social impact and social entrepreneurship. Scheller’s SLS strategy seeks to complement those activities in a manner aligned with the key themes of Serve-Learn-Sustain embodied in the SLS Big Ideas about sustainable communities at Tech. Specifically, we seek to integrate industry-community relations related to sustainability, and/or sustainability as related to community issues, more deeply throughout Scheller’s curricular and co-curricular work. This will be achieved through curriculum development, student awareness and staff development. The strategy will be co-funded by the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business.

We are funding efforts in the following areas:

  • Development of SLS “Innovation Pathway”
  • Course Infusion
  • Student Awareness
  • Staff Professional Development
  • ILE Collaboration
  • Corporate Community Engagement
