Consortium for Socially Relevant Philosophy of/in Science and Engineering

Georgia Tech will host the 4th conference of the Consortium for Socially Relevant Philosophy of/in Science and Engineering on June 4-6, 2018, at the Academy of Medicine at Georgia Tech. The consortium aims to advance collaboration between philosophers, scientists, engineers, policy-makers, practitioners, and a wide range of publics to foster epistemically and ethically responsible scientific and technological innovation. 
 
The conference will include symposia, individual presentations, and discussions of topics such as climate change and policy, sustainability, bioethics, robot ethics, information ethics, engineering ethics, ethics education, and others. The meeting will be structured to encourage dialogue and catalyze future collaborations in these important areas of research and practice. Attendees will include graduate students, postdocs, and faculty who are actively researching these topics or who wish to examine these issues in the future and are looking to explore ways to do so.
