This award recognizes a faculty member who has provided outstanding classroom experiences and related community engagement opportunities to students in one or more SLS Affiliated Courses taught between Fall 2017 to present. The award is open to full-time general faculty of any rank who have taught an SLS Affiliated Course for students at any level. The award recipient will receive $2500 in foundation funds and a framed certificate.
Any faculty member who has taught one or more SLS Affiliated Courses since Fall 2017 is welcome to apply. Self-nominations are encouraged.
It will be up to the selection committee to set the exact criteria for the award. It is expected that the committee will consider the following:

- Number of students impacted
- Depth and sustainability of the community partnership
- Potential impact of the course approach, model, or partnership on other courses and faculty and SLS' broader work
Awards will be presented at the Faculty/Staff Honors Luncheon on April 17, 2019. Questions? Contact Jennifer Hirsch.
